
Nishia Livingston graduated from Southern University A&M College with a BA and MA in Mass Communications. She later earned a MA in Professional Counseling and is licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
She has five years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including structured outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric, nonprofit, and private practice. Nishia has taught Journalism, Speech and General Psychology courses for over 6 years, as part of her active career in the fields of behavioral health and journalism.
She has been a clinician and program manager to oncology patients and caregivers. She has a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and groups across the life span in the following areas: depression, anxiety, addiction, anger issues, relationship difficulties, vocational challenges, grief, chronic illness, and past trauma.
In her spare time, she enjoys time with her family, watching black and white movies, traveling and participating in various community outreach programs. She is also on the Production Team for Goals Don’t have Feelings as a Casting and Talent Director. Additionally, Ms. Livingston is a moderator, speaker and writer.
Overall, Nishia wears many hats and accepts God’s plan to be His vessel as a counselor for the masses. As a result, she maintains a passion for listening and helping people navigate through life’s challenges.
